NEXT SHOW: WHITE MICE w/ FIASCO
WHITE MICE W/ FIASCO
SATURDAY - 18 OCTOBER
9PM
J.A.M.* @ CORNELL
$6
Don't be fooled by the fake blood stained lab coats or the bug-eyed mice masks. These boys mean busy-ness. WHITE MICE hail all the way from Providence, RI to stomp your head in with monstrous bass and an oscillator instead of a guitar, and provide enough unbridled ferocity so you can thrash till your heart's content. Ithaca doesn't see enough grindcore these days, so Fanclub is bringing it to you.
Angela Sawyer of SFweekly.com helps us make sense of what makes White Mice worthy: "Crunchy, cookie-monster thrash can't have any badass to balance its laughable moments if its production is merely tinny. And that's really the trick White Mice pull off: combining goofy, heavy metal dramatics (and yeah, metal's always goofy) and truly brutal aggro-grind."

White Mice is bringing FIASCO along with them to break up their sludgiest and grindiest with Fiasco's "high school aged...blast out fun [punk] rock with a barrage of energy" (CMJ). Crowned "the kingpins of the Park Slope scene" by the NY Times, this Brooklyn band provides their own destructive energy to match White Mice, but in nostalgic way that makes you remember why punk is such the proper vessel for all those puzzling adolescent feelings. Clever guitar riffs and thrashing, mathematical drums carry you through your most awkward days at neckbreaking speed.
